Wilton is a town located in the northeastern part of the Saratoga County, NY and is just minutes northeast of Saratoga Springs. Real Estate growth in Wilton has been increasing steadily in the last decade and will likely continue to grow as the AMD nano-technology campus 15 miles to the south is expected to add a large number of high paying jobs to the area.

Wilton has many hamlets named after early settlers to the area, many of which owned saw mills. Many of these early residents where Tories and left their farms and sawmills to head to Canada during the American Revolution rather than participate. Hamlets such as King's Station, Stiles corners, Dimmicks corners, Emersons corners and Mt. McGregor are named after these early owners of Wiltons Real estate.

General Ulysses S Grant, the 17th president of the United States chose Wilton as his retirement home where he drafted his life's memoirs. Grant died here in Wilton in 1885. The Grant Cottage State Historic Site in Wilton is located in an area known as Mount McGregor and is open to the public.

In 1693 there was a three day skirmish between British troops under Peter Schuyler and parties of French and Indians. The site is historic battle that came to be known as the "Battle of Wilton" is noted by an historic marker at the corner of Parkhurst and Gailor Roads near what is now referred to as Stiles corners.

• Ballard Corners -- A hamlet by the east town line on NY-50 at the junction of County Road 33.
• Barnes Corners -- A location in the southeast part of the town on NY-50.
• Dimmick Corners -- A location in the northeast part of the town on County Road 32.
• Emersons Corners -- This site is marked by an historic marker at the corner of Ballard and North Roads and is named after an early resident of the town of Wilton round the late 1700's named Broadstreet Emerson who owned a Tavern that was the first seat of Government in Wilton.
• Gurn Spring -- A hamlet southeast of Wilton village on County Road 33.
• Kings Station -- A hamlet south of Wilton village on US-9.
• Lake Bonita -- A 60 acre lake forming the headwaters of Beaver Brook that serves as a water supply to the Mount MacGregor correctional facility.
• Loughberry Lake -- A small lake in the southwest part of Wilton.
• Mount McGregor Correctional Facility -- A New York state medium security prison at the north town line. On its grounds lies the Grant Cottage and Lake Bonita.
• Stiles Corners -- The site is noted by an historic marker at the corner of Parkhurst and Gailor Roads and is known for the "Battle of Wilton" that took place in 1693 between British troops and the French and Indians.
• Travers Corners -- A hamlet south of Wilton village.
• Wilton -- The hamlet of Wilton in located on US-9 at the junction with County Roads 101, 32, 33, and 34, in the north part of the town.
