Looking for real estate in Clifton Park? Clifton Park is a town in Saratoga County, NY and was created as "Clifton" in 1828 from the Town of Halfmoon. It was the last town created in Saratoga county and changed its name to "Clifton Park" in 1829.

The town originally consisted of farmland with a small village of homes, churches and businesses on what is now Route 9. Once the Adirondack Northway (Interstate 87) was built through the town, the population and residential and commercial areas of the town skyrocketed.

The only area to sell more Single Family homes in the Capital District is the city of Albany which is geographically much larger and more densly populated than the town of Clifton Park. The Mohawk River is the southern border of Clifton Park with many beautiful homes with great views of the river. The Mohawk River separates Albany County (south) from Saratoga County (north). Clifton Park borders Latham (in the south), Waterford (south-east), Halfmoon (east), Round Lake and Ballston Lake (North) and Glenville, Alplaus, Rexford and Niskayuna (West).

Shenendahowa is the largest school district in Saratoga County. Some Clifton Park area residents also attend the Niskayuna or Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake central school districts.

Every year Clifton Park hosts the Rose and Kiernan/Clifton Park international soccer classic.

• Ballston Lake -- A hamlet in the northwest part of Clifton Park, located at the south end of a lake named "Ballston "Lake.
• Clifton Knolls -- One of Clifton Parks oldest subdivisions developed by Van Patten in the mid 1960's. Homes here are predominately Hanover or Stans Colonial or Raised Ranch in style and well maintained. The active homeowners associations maintains the neighborhood giving it a charming woodsy feel. Houses in this neighborhood generally sell between $250,000.00 and $300,000.00 in this family-friendly neighborhood.
• Clifton Park Center -- A shopping mall formerly called "The Clifton Country Mall" or "CCM".
• Elnora -- A hamlet in northern Clifton Park on country route 146A.
• Grooms Corners -- A hamlet in the southwest part of County Road 91.
• Jonesville -- A hamlet north of Elnora on County Road 82.
• Rexford -- A hamlet near the west town line.
• Round Lake -- A small historic village located in the northeast corner of Clifton Park on a lake that bears its name.
• Stoney Creek Reservoir -- A reservoir in the south part of the town.
• Vischer Ferry -- A hamlet on County Road 92, located near the Mohawk River in the south part of Clifton Park.
